ConsoleWrite(_test(1 or 2 or "asdf") & @CRLF)

func _test($_var)
   if IsString($_var) then return 1

   return 0
endfunc

So if ANY of the 3 parameters is a string, I want to return 1. Can I do this in one step, without using the function _test three times?

Why use a function?

ConsoleWrite(IsString(1) Or IsString(2) Or IsString("asdf")) & @CRLF)

I am only using this _test() function as an example. The function that I want to apply it to is longer than just one IsString check. I thought it would be easier to convey my question if I used a simplified example.

And you got a good response based on that simplified example. If the response doesn't fit your needs, you need to employ an example that more accurately describes what you are attempting to accomplish.
