I am part of QA team of an analytics application. We support third party tools like Excel , Tableue .

I have to write automation script that connect Excel to our analytics application. In short i want below to automate

> Open Excel

> Click on "Data" option available in header and then click on "From Other Services " then click on "From Analysis Services"

> It will open pop up and then need to write username password there.

I am new in this tool . Can any one please provide me link of any document that help me to create above script

@PiyushJhawar the help file has all the examples you would need to do what you're after. Look for _Excel_* functions in there; each one has an example script that will show you how it works.

If the _Excel_* functions don't provide what you need, you could start the Excel macro recorder, do all the steps needed to connect Excel to your system, end the macro recording and post the resulting VBA script here. Should then be easy to translate to AutoIt - if needed.

Or @PiyushJhawar you could use MouseMove and on SciTE go to Tools > AU3Info or press CtrlF6 (Function key 6) to see the location of each button location.

 

Note: This only depends if no one is using the server \ pc.
