Not able to delete a file

Recommended Posts

I am having trouble getting AutoIt to delete a file inside our ArcMap folder. I tried including a #requireadmin but that didn't work. I'll provide the example code and a blank copy of the .gdb file below if someone can help. Thanks

#include <WinAPIFiles.au3>

$sFilePath = "C:\EIS\EISMASTER\eis shape\ArcMap\New File Geodatabase.gdb"
FileDelete($sFilePath)

Have you tried it with DirRemove?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Hi, as BrewManNH suggested, please delete this folder with DirRemove

You can't delete a folder with FileDelete() and after downloading your zip file, it turns out that "New File Geodatabase.gdb" is a folder, containing 2 files :

_gdb.STR-DT-JMILLE.7132.6092.sr.lock (0 bytes)

timestamps (400 bytes)
