Obtain the colkor code from GUICtrlSetBkColor

Recommended Posts

$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 615, 437, 192, 124)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Button1", 104, 112, 75, 25)

GUICtrlSetBkColor($Button1, 0x00FF00)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

sleep(1000)

$iColor = GUICtrlGetBkColor($Button1) ; Pass the controldid to the function.
MsgBox("", '', 'Background Color: ' & _ConvertToHexFormat($iColor))

I can't get it to show the color code? hm

Did you add the function GUICtlrGetBkColor to the script?

BTW, it's MUCH easier to get the color if you keep track of it with a variable when you set the color.

$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 615, 437, 192, 124)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Button1", 104, 112, 75, 25)
$iBkColor = 0x00FF00
GUICtrlSetBkColor($Button1, $iBkColor)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

sleep(1000)

;~ $iColor = GUICtrlGetBkColor($Button1) ; Pass the controldid to the function.
MsgBox("", '', 'Background Color: ' & _ConvertToHexFormat($iBkColor))

legend,

If you have just set the colour for a control, you must know what value you used - so why do you need to determine it by other means?

If you need to track the colour throughout the script for use in comparisons, then I suggest a 2D array with ControlID and current colour.

I need to make a check, if my button is clicked more than once, it needs to remove the color again, and if it's colored it must do something.

This is working with guictrlcreatelabel, but if you replace it with guictrlcreatebutton, it does not work for some reason:

#Include <WinAPIEx.au3>

 Local $GUI, $button1, $color = 0x8AE5DC ; Random Color Array.
    $GUI = GUICreate("GUI")
    $button1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Button1", 112, 56, 225, 145)
    GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

        GUICtrlSetBkColor($button1, $color)
        Sleep(20)
        MsgBox("","",Hex(GUICtrlGetBkColor($button1))) ; Pass the GUI Handle & Label ID to the Function.

; #FUNCTION# =========================================================================================================
; Name...........: GUICtrlGetBkColor
; Description ...: Retrieves the hex value of the control background.
; Syntax.........: GUICtrlGetBkColor($hHandle, $iControl)
; Parameters ....: $hHandle - A valid GUI handle.
;                  $iControl - A valid control ID.
; Requirement(s).: v3.3.2.0 or higher
; Return values .: Success - Returns hex value of the control background.
;                  Failure - Returns 0 & sets @error = 1
; Author ........: guinness & additional information from Yashied.
; Example........; Yes
;=====================================================================================================================
Func GUICtrlGetBkColor($iControl)
    Local $hHandle = GUICtrlGetHandle($iControl)
    Local $hDC = _WinAPI_GetDC($hHandle)
    Local $bGetBkColor = _WinAPI_GetPixel($hDC, 0, 0)
    _WinAPI_ReleaseDC($hHandle, $hDC)
    Return $bGetBkColor ; "0x" & Hex($bGetBkColor, 6)
EndFunc   ;==>GUICtrlGetBkColor

try replace :

$button1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Button1", 112, 56, 225, 145)

with

$button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Button1", 112, 56, 225, 145)

Everytime the color is changed, update your variable with the new color. Anything else is way too complicated to compensate for poor programming.
