Control+SPACE ?

Hi, 

new guy here.

I am struggling to send LCTRL and SPACE... sometimes I need one click (holding CTRL down and press space), sometimes, I need to hold LCTRL and press space 2-3 times).

send{"^+{SPACE}");  error

send({LCTRL}{SPACE}"); doesn't work

I am out of ideas, and help doesn't help much for this scenario, or I am missing something.
