Docfxit
I'm wondering if anyone has a script that checks to see if AutoIt is installed. If it isn't I would like it to download and install the latest stable version of AutoIt & SciTE. I realize this would have to run compiled. Thank you, Docfxit

Docfxit
AutoUpdateIt.au3 just displays a GUI showing what the current version that is installed is and what the latest version that is available. I'm looking for a script that will determine if the latest stable version is currently installed. If AutoIT isn't installed or it's not the latest version I would like the script to download and install AutoIt and SciTE silently. I'm trying to prepare a remote PC to run AutoIT scripts to install other software silently. Thanks, Docfxit

Now, getting the latest and greatest is not a very good idea, as it may break your existing scripts due to the evolution of the language and UDFs, Xandy 1 Follow the link to my code contribution ( and other things too ). BrewManNH
You don't need to download the complete package and install if all you want to do is run scripts. All you'd need is the AutoIt3.exe program or even just a compiled script. However, the executable must have been compiled with the #pragma compile(AutoItExecuteAllowed, True) directive. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
