Subscript used on non-accessible variable

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys,

I am trying (again) to automate something for my colleagues and I do not understand why is this appearing. Could you please check my code?

I am giving you just a small part of it but it should be enough.

;I am using the FF.au3 since I need to automate FireFox
$currentIRISURL = _FFCmd(".location.href") ;This works the same way as _IEPropertyGet($oIE, "locationurl")
Global $pages = _StringBetween($currentIRISURL, "page=", "&search")
MsgBox(1, "", $pages[0])

This is where the script ends with the error: : ==> Subscript used on non-accessible variable.:

MsgBox(1, "", $pages[0])
MsgBox(1, "", $pages^ ERROR

Do you have any ideas?

You need to do some error checking in there.

;~ I am using the FF.au3 since I need to automate FireFox
$currentIRISURL = _FFCmd(".location.href") ;This works the same way as _IEPropertyGet($oIE, "locationurl")
; check here to see if you have anything returned by the previous command, I don't know what it returns or what errors you might get
Global $pages = _StringBetween($currentIRISURL, "page=", "&search")
If Not @error Then
    MsgBox(1, "", $pages[0])
Else
    MsgBox(1, "", "Not found")
EndIf

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.
