gblss
Is there a way to create a txt file that has a list of all of the files that were copied using the filecopy command? Thanks.
BrewManNH
Yes. Earthshine 1 If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Earthshine
BrewManNH, LOL. funny. gblis, you can look at your newly copied files using this _FileListToArray UDF https://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/libfunctions/_FileListToArray.htm to get a 'list' of the files you copied. FileCopy does not return the name of the files. Edited October 26, 2017 by Earthshine My resources are limited. Earthshine
you could use my BackupFiles UDF, it returns the file or directory it is copying. After you give it a target and destination and optional filespec (*.c or whatever) it returns the path to the copied files. next open that path and run a directory commend dir /l /b *.* > file.txt or something like that. Or you could use that _FileListToArray UDF I mentioned above to give you an array of the files in that path and verify it in a loop. I have included a small test and you can put in a source path and destination path of your own. if you do not specify a filespec argument, i.e. what type of files to copy (you can use wildcards or a full filename) then the entire soruce path gets copied to destination. If an error happens, it logs it and returns and empty string BackupFiles.au3 log4a.au3 test.au3 Edited October 26, 2017 by Earthshine My resources are limited.
