Excel - Write into a column

Hi everybody,

i have to write a value into an excel column.

I know where it starts from, but i don't know what the end is, last non-empty cell.

How can i get the number of last non-empty cell?

Is it possible to write something like:

$test="AB3:"&"AB"&$iRowCount

_Excel_RangeWrite($oWorkbook, $oWorkbook.Activesheet, "ciao", $test)

 

?

I have a variable containing the range, but i don't know how to write it correctly.

I think this should work to write the value into all cells in column AB of the used range (untested):

Global $oRange = $oWorkbook.ActiveSheet.Range("AB:AB").SpecialCells($xlCellTypeLastCell) ; Returns the last cell in column AB
_Excel_RangeWrite($oWorkbook, $oWorkBook.ActiveSheet, "ciao", "AB3:AB" & $oRange.Row)
