Best method to retrieve size of "System Volume Information" Directory

What is the best method to get size of this "protected" directory.

Now I'm using : vssadmin list shadowstorage and capture the output

alternative way ?

Maybe store the current attributes, change them, get your DirGetSize, and then put back the original attributes?
