Run on Condition ( Need help)

I have a program that downloads files.

 

i want to make my program wait in executing the functions if there is no internet, so if i connect to the internet then it detects and run the codes.

is this possible?.

lets say if i click on my program..

it tries it detect if there is internet connection.. 

 

if there is no internet connection, the program holds and dont execute waiting to detect  internet connection before executing.

 

so immediately it detects internet connection then it executes the rest of the functions. if not then it still waits..
