Greg-H
Good Day! As the title suggests I am trying to run a Windows Store App with SciTE Lite on Windows 10. There is no executable binary to use the Run Function with. You can now use for example "ms-windows-store:" from the Windows "Run" prompt or "start ms-windows-store:" from a Command Line. But how do I do that from within a SciTE Script? "Run('start ms-windows-store:')" or "Run('mswindows-store:')" does not work! Thank you very much! Moderators Melba23 Posted February 17, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 17, 2017 Greg-H, I see you did not read those rules to which I linked very carefully - you missed the part that says: "Do not repost the same question if the previous thread has been locked - particularly if you merely reword the question to get around one of the prohibitions listed above" However, as this question does have some wider application (pun intended) I am prepared to let it run this time. But please do read those rules carefully and stick to them in future. Subz
Try: Run(@ComSpec & ' /c start "" "ms-windows-store:"', '', @SW_HIDE) Greg-H
Greg-H
Thank you very much! It works for my application! Run(@ComSpec & ' /c start "" "shell:Appsfolder\Microsoft.Messaging_8wekyb3d8bbwe!x27e26f40ye031y48a6yb130yd1f20388991ax"', '', @SW_HIDE) - Hit Win-R to open a "Run" input, and type "shell:Appsfolder" - When in that, hit F-10 to get a menu bar, and from that menu bar select "View / Choose Details" - Select the radio box for "AppUserModelID". That ID is what you are going to want to execute. - Select "Details" from the little "View" gadget" on the right hand side. "shell:Appsfolder\"+AppUserModelID found in the right column Subz and Decibel
Subz
No problem, I should also mention, the following also works ShellExecute('ms-windows-store:') ShellExecute('shell:Appsfolder\Microsoft.Messaging_8wekyb3d8bbwe!x27e26f40ye031y48a6yb130yd1f20388991ax')
