lemondoo
There is no code that i am even trying to work with right now. It's the actual magnifier does not even show the right pixels. I can show a gif or a video of my screen if that is necessary

lemondoo
Ok, just checked the link provided - let me specify again - magnifying tool doesn't work because the mouse seems to be offset. Because of this wherever the mouse clicks is actually offset from where it should click. I don't think adding another magnifying tool would change this. I might be wrong here - the magnifying tool itself might not be the problem - it might be the software behind it - What led me to this problem in the first place was finding out that the mouse clicked in seemingly random places when I specified to click on a red pixel. I used the magnifying tool to find out, to my horror, that it was magnifying on things to the left and up of what it was supposed to be magnifying. I just want it so that it does not do that - To make sure that the cursor points to the correct pixel on the screen, not a pixel that is slightly above and to the left of it. Thank you for helping, though, I do appreciate all the feedback.
czardas
The video is a good demonstration of your findings. It seemed to misbehave when I tried it too. Unfortunately the code does not appear to be available for the Window Info Tool. Let's see what other people have to say about it. I still think that the IE functions might be more suitable for your requirements (rather than using pixel functions). junkew
The other magnifying tool i gave link for was to see if it has same behavior as then you rule out a root cause. If same behavior you can start finding out where it goes wrong in that source. Bowmore
I'm using Windows 64 Processional with a 3 monitor set up and can report that the magnifying tool in AU3Info works perfectly for me when I have the text display size set to 100%, using windows display settings. If I set the text display size to something larger than 100% I start to see the offset effect you are seeing. It looks as though AU3Info has not been written to take account of display scaling. Thank you. This was EXACTLY the issue. I changed to 100% from 125% (because I was on a laptop), and the pixel finding worked perfectly. Hopefully they can update(?) this tool so that pixel finding is more relevant to smaller sized screens where you have default display settings at 125%. BrewManNH
I asked you what your DPI setting was, this could have been fixed yesterday if you'd bothered to check that. I doubt that AutoIt will ever become natively DPI aware. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
