dieterhatn
Hi there, I'm developing a Windows8/10 like Volume GUI and I'd like to display the Icon of the process which volume is changing. I searched the forums and google for a solution, and I found this snippet by MrCreatoR: It's working flawless for 32bit processes, but when I try to retrieve an icon of a 64bit process, it displays nothing. Can anyone help me out here?
BrewManNH
Are you running your script as a 64 bit program? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Mugen
Try, this small change. Func _ProcessGetIcon($vProcess) Local $iPID = ProcessExists($vProcess) If Not $iPID Then Return SetError(1, 0, -1) Local $aProc = DllCall('kernel32.dll', 'hwnd', 'OpenProcess', 'int', BitOR(0x0400, 0x0010), 'int', 0, 'int', $iPID) If Not IsArray($aProc) Or Not $aProc[0] Then Return SetError(2, 0, -1) Local $vStruct = DllStructCreate('ptr[1024]') Local $hPsapi_Dll = DllOpen('Psapi.dll') If $hPsapi_Dll = -1 Then $hPsapi_Dll = DllOpen(@SystemDir & '\Psapi.dll') If $hPsapi_Dll = -1 Then $hPsapi_Dll = DllOpen(@WindowsDir & '\Psapi.dll') If $hPsapi_Dll = -1 Then Return SetError(3, 0, '') DllCall($hPsapi_Dll, 'int', 'EnumProcessModules', _ 'hwnd', $aProc[0], _ 'ptr', DllStructGetPtr($vStruct), _ 'int', DllStructGetSize($vStruct), _ 'int_ptr', 0) Local $aRet = DllCall($hPsapi_Dll, 'int', 'GetModuleFileNameEx', _ 'hwnd', $aProc[0], _ 'ptr', DllStructGetData($vStruct, 1), _ 'str', '', _ 'int', 2048) DllClose($hPsapi_Dll) If Not IsArray($aRet) Or StringLen($aRet[3]) = 0 Then Return SetError(4, 0, '') Return $aRet[3] EndFunc dieterhatn

It does not work unfortunately.
Mugen
No, I just replaced the 2 int's related to $ vStruct with ptr.It works here in all 4 option (running x86/x64 and target process x86 or x64) What error number do you get?
