BrewManNH
There is some very old source code available, but anything recent isn't available. This is a closed source product. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. jchd
As a programmer using the language you don't need to know the underlying working of built-in functions and you shouldn't even care. I don't care whether MsgBox() uses Windows UI primitives, draws the thing directly by writing in the graphics card memory or even employs an army of underpaid chinese workers to raise or hide microscopic red, green and blue flags. All I want is the function to have clear specifications and consistent behavior suitable for my use cases and nothing else. Now what issue(s) do you experience with those functions? MCL
oh I am trying to find out how autoit implemented keyboard and mouse events. It works fabulously and I can't get mine to work in C++ lol Could someone point me to the right way to finding something that works, for instance, mouse_move() ? thx
jchd
I definitely can't help you on this, but I'd suspect it isn't as easy as it may sound to gently "mess" with Windows UI messaging the way AutoIt does it, yet allowing user side keyboard/mouse messages intercept and still not crashing the train. Isn't AutoItX a possible way to achieve what you want? This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). JohnOne
There are a few windows api's you can use to simulate mouse and keyboard. I suspect AutoIt3 uses SendInput, so search msdn for that, and the general internet for examples of it, and have a go.
