I tired your code;

_FFXPath returned OBJECT|FFau3.xpath

_FFcmd returned _FF_Cmd_err

 

I thought i would attempt some troubleshooting, to find more information. I changed _FFXPath($xref, "", 10) to return counts.

Here are my results.

$oLink = _FFXPath($xref)

;$oLink = 0

I am struggling to understand why it was easier to click the button in IE then it is for firefox?

It shouldn't be. However, it isn't easy to "guess" at a solution when we can't access the site. One option would be for you to find a public site with similar coding. That way we could actually do some testing on our end.

Because Microsoft allowed programmers access to the COM API for the browser where Mozilla did not. The only way you can get any kind of access to automating FireFox is with a 3rd party addon. Microsoft built it into IE.
