Broken script

Hello, New to AutoIT, loving the fun it brings

 

I am building a script to automate pdf creation for work, we make hundreds of Pdf's monthly. I have most of the process squared away, but I'm stuck. it gets to the point where it will not switch back to a previously maximized excel sheet for the next step.

Here is the code, with some window names removed

Any help would be much appreciated.

It's a long shot but the problem could be that you need admin rights for the script?

Try adding #RequireAdmin at the very top of your script.

@qwiqshot if you use EXCEL then you may use EXCEL UDF (if I remember well there was a similar question but related to WORD   ).

But I want to ask How you create PDF - is it a conversion or SaveAs option used from EXCEL ?

Nuance / PDF Converter Profession integration's mLipok

You can use ObjGet() to connect to opened Excel Document (I never tried it).

Then you can use Excel.au3 UDF to print this document without doing all this GUI automation.

If I good understand the "Nuance / PDF Converter" should take care about creating PDF in a smilar to PDFCreator way.
I mean "Nuance / PDF Converter" should have AutoSave feature. If I'm right, then you should to know where is created PDF file.
