aleph01
I'm interested in trying to run Chrome on wifi while running IE on Ethernet. Does AutoIt have the tools to do this? Can anyone suggest which commands I would need to use? Just trying to get my larger, more downloads going on Ethernet and have simultaneous, usually smaller downloads running on Chrome. I have no code yet, just looking for a starting point. Thanks for any help. Meds. They're not just for breakfast anymore.

junkew
Inetget you should use. But why on earth you want to do this or why from two different browsers. And is the wifi not on the same network in the end. Why autoit? More details on why will help in giving a solution advice. aleph01
Sorry, I accidentally double-clicked to post the first time and I got an error, so I clicked again to post. Now I'm thinking my first click posted, my second click produced the error because one cannot post rapid fire, then my third click to post posted again. Not trying to clutter up the forum. Meds. aleph01
Wouldn't have to be two browsers, really, just two instances of a browser. Thinking I may get more bandwidth this way. Why AutoIt? AutoIt is my scripting solution. Isn't it everybody's? Meds. They're not just for breakfast anymore.

aleph01
Inetget doesn't appear to allow me to direct one instance of a browser (or a download) to one nic and another instance to another nic. Am I missing something? Thanks Meds. They're not just for breakfast anymore.
JohnOne
I tried for a while to do this in autoit, and failed.I did however find a great command line tool which can do it, and wrapped that in a fancy gui.Unfortunately I have no idea on this mess of a disk, where that wrapper is.Luckily I do remember what it's called, and can vouch for it's safety and validity, here's the link.https://r1ch.net/projects/forcebindip jguinch 1 AutoIt Absolute Beginners Require a serial Pause Script Video Tutorials by Morthawt ipify Monkey's are, like, natures humans. JohnOne
If I recall, it might not work on every process, if IE does not bind though, Chrome will. I definitely had both running on different connections. AutoIt Absolute Beginners Require a serial Pause Script Video Tutorials by Morthawt ipify Monkey's are, like, natures humans. aleph01
Thanks again, JohnOne, as you said, it does indeed work with Chrome, and it's freeware! Always like that. Should you happen to come across the GUI you've written, I'd like a copy if you're in a generous mood. Don't go through any trouble looking for it, but if you stumble upon it....Wow, this forum is a real treasure! Meds. They're not just for breakfast anymore.
