CTRL + Break is not stopping the script with Scite

 I tried both Scite Lite and Scite full.

Pressing CTRL+Break (my keyboard also has pause on the key) doesn't work.

It there a way to change that shortcut? Why isn't it working?

I'm running windows 7, 64 bit premium

Are you using #RequireAdmin in your script? If you are, it won't work to kill the script.

It breaks the script (/inserted but only if Scite is started as Admin.

When Scite was started as Admin every AutoItscript could be stoped, even it has #RequireAdmin in his code.

The attached Pic seem's to be a Bug in the board-software (after Editing my Post) Yet i have it deleted.

SciTE will not be able to Kill a script in case SciTE is running in normal mode and the Script is re-shelled due to #RequireAdmin, since the original exe has finished.
This should be obvious when lookng at he SciTE outputpane and the Dropdown Tools menu.

Maybe we should wait till the OP returns and specifies the circumstances he's testing. 
I want to see all SciTE output pane information when running with the Full SciTE version in case it remains unclear!

After starting script found in https://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/124406-drag-and-drop-with-uac/ with F5 i could stop it with CTRL Break, when Scite is started normal then i couldn't stop and the menuitem Tools|Stop executing is disabled.

In your example Ctrl-Break will not work on the script but close the MsgBox(). Try this script and see that Ctrl=Break does work::

Yes that one works, but the script I created still doesn't work, doesn't stop the message boxes.

I write scripts that send keystrokes to webpages in sequence, sometimes a pop up shows up or other reasons, and the script keeps running clicking everywhere and sending text all over the place....

When I say STOP, I want to scrip to stop, no matter what

What I need to do now is use (Ctrl+Alt+Del) Windows Task Manager and hope to be able to get in their and stop Scite, if I'm lucky enough that the keystrokes don't prevent me.

I  some cases I have to use the shut off button on the laptop...otherwise it just won't stop, I MUST be doing something wrong?

I'm not sure I am explaining clearly what I want to achieve, sometimes I even have to force restart my computer to stop the script...

The script stops, but when a MsgBox is shown it closes the MsgBox. In worst case you must say 4 times STOP.

This is from the help files, I modified it a little to demonstrate what I mean.

I AM using control send.

I run the script and some lines of text get written in notepad with a 500 ms delay between each line.

When I press CTRL+ Break, I want the script to stop, I want the text to stop being written on the notepad file.

Why not work with HotKeySet() in your script in stead of using the SciTE interrupt ?
