au3stripper questions

Hi,

this is the first time I notice Au3Stripper, it's a really great tool 

 

Just wonder why doesn't it preexpand and remove the $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE constant?

Also out the Iterations options, what are realistic max counts?

Mugen,

Au3Stripper removes unused functions and constants - and as that constant is used it stays, unlike all the others in GUIConstantsEx.au3. The app does not pre-expand - for that you can take a look at guinness' PreExpand utility.

Edit: Missed the final question - I find most scripts take 3-4 passes, but I always leave it at the default 5. In my opinion, if you are taking the time to strip the code, you might as well do it properly.

The Pre-Expand isn't performed for that variable as AU3Stripper is unsure how the variable is used in this case. The lexing probably should have the logic for it but doesn't stat he moment. 

As to the number of iterations: don;t think you need to worry about setting it as it continues till there are no lines to remove any more.

The app does not pre-expand - for that you can take a look at

guinness' PreExpand

utility.

It does pre-expand to a certain level.

Actually found that the numeric check didn't allow for the minus (-) sign which is fixed in the Beta version available now.
