Hey GUYS! i got a problem here!

My pppoe connection keeps disconnecting.I get the internet sevice directly through the cable,there's no modem or router.

It keeps disconnecting and reconecting after one minute. Also i got speed problems and a taskbar icon, which tells me 'Limited or no connectivity.'

I've tried to stop the disconnecting using the cmd , but i didn't succeeded! Tell me what i should do?

Stop posting multiple times every time you start a thread. if you keep doing it you may find that you cannot post at all for a while.

I think some Windows update recently played havoc with some people. Uninstall your "Internet" devices driver and restart your machine. This might solve the problem, though I don't guarantee it.

So you've got coax running directly to the back of your PC, no cable modem at all?

That is what I am trying to get him to detail @TheDcoder. Trying to lead him down the primrose path to giving us enough information to help him. Doesn't really help him if we guess at what his configuration may be ;)

Perhaps you think you do, but to my knowledge there is no ISP in the world that offers ethernet directly to your dwelling, so somewhere along the way there is at least a modem, and probably also a router either separate or combined, and the problem sounds like it's there.

EDIT:

If you type either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 into your browser address bar, what appears?

My PC is very old! The card is VIA Rhine III Fast Ethernet Adapter. I suppose it is because my hardware is old and that's why it keeps disconnecting!

Fast ethernet card with an rj45 connector...right, not coax, so what device does your coax cable go into which comes from the cable supplier?

i know it is/was quite common that a cable provider used pppoe to connect a device to its service, and ypu get an ip address ones that tunnel is build. There has to be a device that the coax cable plugs into first though and converts the signal to 10/100 ethernet untwisted pair.
