roromfw Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 (edited) Hello guys, I have a script that is running on a virtual machine, the scrip is sending emails and retrieves the destination adresses from a text file. For filling the "To" field I am using something like this$emails = FileRead("insert directory here") ClipPut($emails) ControlClick("", "", $toField) Send("^v")The thing is that while the script is running I am doing my work on my machine, and if I want to copy/paste something I'm having problems because when I click Ctrl + v on my keyboard I end up pasting the emails list.Is there any way to copy/paste text without "ocupying" my copy/paste functionalities?I hope I made myself clear. Edit: and by the way, using ControlSend("", "", $toField, $emails)is not a viable option because the emails list is very long, so that would spend a lot of time. Edited September 2, 2015 by roromfw

ViciousXUSMC Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 In your case looks like clipboard was just an option/method not a necessity so you can avoid using it.However if you ever did find a situation where you do need to use the clipboard you can preserve its integrity with something like this:#include <file.au3> HotKeySet("^c", "get") While 1 Sleep(100) WEnd Func Get() $saveClip = ClipGet() Send("^c") Sleep(150) $filesfolders = ClipGet() ClipPut($saveClip) MsgBox(0, "", "Current Clip" & @CRLF & @CRLF & $filesfolders) EndFuncI save the current clipboard to a variable before I use it, and then restore it at the end. It lets me "copy" something for a function without disturbing the clipboard.
