Fredricz
Hey! I'm using the UDF from; SNMP_UDF for SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c - https://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/81687-snmp_udf-for-snmpv1-and-snmpv2c/?page=1So i'm building a script that will collect snmp information from the printers, getting the serial number and some other information and sending it to a database. I'm getting an error from UDPrecv, -2 is in the @error. This script is working on a lot of other printers but i'm having problems with a handful of them. Here's my code: expandcollapse popup#Include <String.au3> #Include <snmp.au3> #include <Inet.au3> #include <_sql.au3> #include <Array.au3> #RequireAdmin Global $Port = 161 Global $SNMP_Version = 2 Global $SNMP_Community = "public" Global $SNMP_ReqID = 1 Global $SNMP_Command Global $Start = 1 Global $result Global $printer = "c:\temp\printer.txt" UDPStartUp() Global $dest_IP = "192.168.0.5" $Socket = UDPopen($dest_IP, $Port) $black = OID("1.3.6.1.4.1.367.3.2.1.2.19.5.1.9.9") $color = OID("1.3.6.1.4.1.367.3.2.1.2.19.5.1.9.64") $scan = OID("1.3.6.1.4.1.367.3.2.1.2.19.5.1.9.72") $hostname = OID("1.3.6.1.4.1.367.3.2.1.1.1.1.0") $serie = OID("1.3.6.1.4.1.367.3.2.1.2.1.4.0") $model = OID("1.3.6.1.4.1.367.3.2.1.1.1.7.0") sendsql() If Not IsDeclared("dest_IP") Then Exit Func OID($oid) Global $SNMP_OID = $oid $SNMP_Command = _SNMPBuildPacket($SNMP_OID, $SNMP_Community,$SNMP_Version, $SNMP_ReqID, "A0") UDPSend($Socket, $SNMP_Command) _StartListener() sleep (200) Return $SNMP_Util[1][1] EndFunc Func _StartListener() If $Start = 1 Then While (1) $srcv = UDPRecv($Socket, 2048) If ($srcv <> "") Then $result = _ShowSNMPReceived ($srcv) ConsoleWrite($srcv &@CRLF) ExitLoop EndIf sleep(100) WEnd EndIf EndFunc Func OnAutoItExit() UDPCloseSocket($Socket) UDPShutdown() EndFunc I've not added the sendsql() function, but its working. Everything work except that in the function _StartListener() udprecv fails with -2 and the loop doesnt find anything. Building the package works perfectly. And the OID's works and are tested through a MIB browser. And yes, every single printer has snmp enabled and are set to "public". Gianni
I would do some checking on the reachability of the device and on the outcome of the command UDPopenGlobal $dest_IP = "192.168.0.5" UDPStartUp() If Not Ping($dest_IP) Then Exit MsgBox(0, "", "error on ping " & $dest_IP) $Socket = UDPopen($dest_IP, $Port) If @error Then Exit MsgBox(0,"","UDPopen error")p.s.are always the same printers that give error, or from random devices? I've done the test on around 200 printers and there are a little bit random but mostly the same models. I've fixed around 80% of the script to just change SNMP version to 1 (apprently some printers only uses SNMP v1 even if they have support/enabled for SNMP v2). But now I'm not getting any errors except that the loop keeps going until the script crashes but I can fix this by trying myself. So far, I've created two functions depending if the printer works with snmp 1 or 2. This is a lot of manual work but I really need to fix this. Gianni
Hi Fredricz, maybe it can be useful for your purpose also this "SNMP Ping" that I've written some time ago:it can scan a range of device and it should check if those devices are snmp enabled or not, and if so, it should also report if those devices are responding to snmp v1 or v2. Fredricz
Hey, sorry for the delay. This worked perfect. I've tweaked your script a lot and ended up with a better version then my last script. So thanks very much and it works perfectly now! /Fredricz Edited October 13, 2015 by Fredricz
