Is it possible to start any exe file with SciTE and end with SciTE

Hi all, 

I have made a script and made an exe from it. Now i need to run it with SciTE and end it with SciTE. That means, when i start SciTE, this exe should start and when i close SciTE, this exe should close. Is it possible ?

Create a shortcut and in the properties call your script. In your script call SciTE. Watch until process no longer exists, then complete your script.

You mean write code in au3 properties file like this " Run("path of my exe") " ?

And i don't get your idea properly, what do you mean by "In your script call SciTE. Watch until process no longer exists, "  ?

Write a script that after you've started it runs SciTe, and then monitors the process for scite, when scite closes your script closes itself.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

You've been around long enough you should be able to look this up in the helpfile....

Add this to your script so that your script starts scite, and change the shortcut for Scite to start your script instead of scite.

BrewManNH, Ok Got it now. But Is that the only way to run an exe with SciTE ?. Why i am asking this because, i have made a littile tool to help coding in SciTE.  I am thinking about uploading it to download section. But i need this functionality to that program. Anyhow, thank you for your help.

Why i am asking this because, i have made a littile tool to help coding in SciTE.  I am thinking about uploading it to download section. But i need this functionality to that program. Anyhow, thank you for your help. 

 

Posting it in Examples like you did is fine for the moment. I am sure people can compile it themselves.
