I agree with you, as I see we have almost the same concept.

 

To:  @Danp2 and @Iczer :

Here is my propose:

1. We need to wrap results (into ConverterFunction) before they is returned out of function .
2. ConverterFunction should have ability
   1. to be switch off,
   2. to be set manually
   3. to works automatically (automaticaly finding encoding)
3. To works automatically we must:
   1. decide when "automaticaly finding encoding" should be done (I think not in all function calls)
   2. make a proper function for "automaticaly finding encoding"

As a first step I would propose to implement 2.1 and 2.2, because 2.3 It will additionally require still to be done 3.1 and 3.2

Do you agree ?

@mLipok You haven't addressed this concern. What happens in 6 months if, as predicted, add-ons such as MozRepl cease to work? Is it worth investing the time to update this UDF with encoding options or would the time be better spent to develop an alternative solution that will work once FF 57 is released?

My AutoIt + MozRepl programs have stopped working,  Firefox has updated itself to 55.0.2 (32-bit), MozRepl says not compatible with my version of Firefox.

What's possible now?

You can't possibly expect anyone to help with this when you post no relevant information. What version of FF are you using, is MOZREPL installed? What errors do you get?

I believe the webpage has been updated so the example is no longer valid. Originally, it displayed "test_bild_1", but now shows 'gb", which is coming from the documentation links that were added at the top of the page.

However, _FFDialogWait still fails even after fixing the example to look for "gb" instead of "bild".

You'll need to find another alternative since that function doesn't appear to work. Perhaps you should start a separate thread to ask for help on your particular issue.

I have some problem with this UDF.

$sHTML_DocReadHTML_Content = _FFReadHTML("html")
; works well
$oElement = _FFXPath("//a[@id='j_idt125']")
; gives error = 9

I'm sure that this $sHTML_DocReadHTML_Content  contains 

<a id="j_idt125" href="#" class="......">.........</a>

And it works before, but currently after a few hours of analysis, I can not understand the cause of the error.
Any help - I would be grateful?

@mLipok What version of Firefox are you using? I know that things stopped working correctly somewhere around FF54.

You can test the validity of the xpath by dropping to the FF developer console and issuing the following --

$x('//a[@id="j_idt125"]')

If present, it should produce an array containing a reference to the desired element.

I'm sure that this is old version - not changed.
As I said _FFReadHTML("html") works well (as last command posted to FF ).
But before it comes to _FFReadHTML("html") there is many other _FF function proceeded properly.

I just do something wrong with my code.

You should verify the FF version to be sure. ;-)

Also, do the console test I mentioned above, which removes Mozrepl from the equation.

FF v 41.0.2

I think there are some new "lag" problems on endpoint server and it means that I must add some new "speciall checking" to be sure this element exist when program starts, and add new sleep or make this checking in some kind of loop.

EDIT: 
It is quite possible because as far as I know this server from few days have new big services to carry on.

This is used on Intranet without connection to Internet, without any other third party programs... of course excluding AV or my...

I have an issue with:

$aTable = _FFTableWriteToArray(0)

Errors:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\Include\FF.au3" (3009) : ==> Array variable has incorrect number of subscripts or subscript dimension range exceeded.:
$aTable[$j][$i] = $aRows[$i + 1]
$aTable[$j][$i] = ^ ERROR

Was anyone able to solve this?

@PunkoHead Looks like you are using an older version of the UDF. Try upgrading the the most recent version.
