Danp2 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Unfortunately, the OP hasn't been online in 10 months or so. I reached out to him with no response. Either we can start a new thread or maybe there is a way that someone else can take over this one. Latest Webdriver UDF Release Webdriver Wiki FAQs

Zohar Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Great, so I will comment there if needed, regarding it. BTW, regarding MozRepl, it's surprising that Firefox requires installing an Add-On, in order to expose an object model that enables a developer to program it.. It's such a basic thing - doesn't firefox enable something even without an additional installation?
Danp2 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 You could look into the >IUIAutomation thread. I don't recall the specifics, but I looked into this and decided against it at the time. Zohar 1 Latest Webdriver UDF Release Webdriver Wiki FAQs
Zohar Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Interesting, but looks like MozRepl is more dedicated to the relevant purpose..
water Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 The one automates the User Interface, the other allows to access the object model. Zohar Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Yeah.. I prefer the Object Model, so MozRepl will be better. It's just surprising that MozRepl is not developed by Mozilla themselves.. Also surprising and quite interesting, is if this add-on is not developed by Mozilla but by an external developer, then how does he access the object model that he is exposing to us?
