Is there a simple way to save an ArrayDisplay to a Text file or csv?

Im messing about with registry keys into an array with an output like this

Although it may not always be 3 columns

Is there a simple way to save the data to an excel file for e.g.

Any suggestions which way to look, there doesnt seem to be anything in the _Array functions

Thanks is there any way to get it to open the columns so they are visible in the csv?

without having to manually open them?

Ive just had a thought what happens if im on a machine without excel installed?

Does Autoit need it installed to work?

Bugger thats not gonna work then ill have to find a way to export to csv without having excel installed

Or straight to text then convert later

I use functions written by >ProgAndy. But there are others available too.

My signature can create excel files, through XML...excel is not needed to be on the computer running the script.

It still needs some work, but generically will do what you need.

There are also ways to use ADO on an excel file.  I don't think that requires a local install either.

The wiki has an article on ADO (read only at the moment). But it shouldn't be too hard to make a script to create an Excel workbook.

#include <Array.au3>
#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>

Local $aArray[][] = [[1, 2, 3], ["A", "B", "C"], [4, 5, 6], ["X", "Y", "Z"]]

$sString = _ArrayToString($aArray, ",", Default, Default, @CRLF)

MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "String", $sString

And voila - a csv file you can read into Excel directly.

Im just creating logs of machines essentially

Its just a dead basic save to csv so i can read the keys later to sort through them for the malware/scareware im trying to remove

I find the program then read the key and copy and paste part of the key into another script

Ill have a read then get back to you

I installed Beta to have a look and it doesn't create a file?

There is no FileWrite() function in that example. Melba23 only created the example to show how _ArrayToString() can produce a cvs-like string. You will need to add additional functions to make it work how you want.
