Mikkelin
Hello, I made a license system, and i'm doing some checks where i'm using exit. exit can't be obfuscated, and it's a bit too obvious to search for "exit". Does anyone know a alternative to exit, some code that will end the script, and it must not be processclose.
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted September 10, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 10, 2014 Without seeing your code it is a bit difficult to assist. If not using Exit, you would simply close out when you complete processing of all your functions. If you're running in a perpetual While loop, or as a scheduled task, you'll need to code the loop to end on a specific condition. Again, if it sounds like I'm being vague I am - help us help you and post your code (or at least a reproducer of some sort). "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. Mikkelin
I can post my code when I get home, basically it's checking for a hardware id on my server, if it exists then just continue the script, if not, then exit the script, and right now i'm just using "exit", but even it's obfuscated, you could simply decompile it, and remove "exit" that's why i'm requesting a alternative that is less obvious than "exit"
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted September 10, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 10, 2014 Understand that, regardless of removing a single command, someone determined enough is going to find a way to decompile. Obfuscation helps, but do a search on the forum and you'll see how many times this has been discussed ad nauseam - there is no silver bullet solution. Mikkelin
I'm aware of that, however i'm using my own obfuscation method, and got server sided variables as well, and parts of the code is cloud based as well, So you need an active license before it will get parts of the code from the cloud Edited September 10, 2014 by Mikkelin
orbs
If _IsLicensed() Then ; your script here EndIf if your script is not licensed, the script will exit, and no Exit command anywhere. it's hard to implement, but that's the main idea. Kovacic
After reading the forum rules, I have revised my post.. I agree with JLogan3o13, Take out Exit, and just let the script run out. If you are concerned, you can include a buttload of unused functions and unused variables. That helps throw people too. Hope that helps Edited September 10, 2014 by Kovacic C0d3 is P0etry( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Kovacic
...and you would know how exactly? I wouldn't, that was just a coincidental typo on my part.. JLogan3o13 had it best I think, with taking out the while loops and letting the script run out.
