in you operating system.

I nead to know if the code working for you properly.

the code should return 2D array of the running services with their display name and short name.

I need to test the code under the following systems: Windows vista , windows 7 , windows 8 & 8.1 , windows XP.

If yes , if you have not seen these messages?

"L:\QuickPDF\_AU3\test.au3"(4,43) : error: _ArrayDisplay() called with expression on Const ByRef-param(s).
_ArrayDisplay(_RetrieveRunningServices2(1))

This clearly indicated where there was a problem with your script.

As it only corrected in accordance with the information from AU3Check.

I did not understand what you said but I did a test and sow that the line:

_ArrayDisplay(_RetrieveRunningServices2(1))

works if #AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_AU3Check=n

so it is AU3Check bug

I would not be surprised if the answer is yes.
If this is the case then you probably suffer quite a lot.

 

If not then what is your anti-virus?

Please disable the defense and run again the code and tell me if it solved the problem

Anyway, this bug is less worse then ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>p?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>revious bug . the previous bug is freezing the script for 30 seconds. I prefer that in extreme cases something will not work. It is better than the bug that the whole script freez..

There are things i can not prevent. what happened to you is probably your antivirus automatically sandboxed the script.

Your anti-virus have sandbox technology

It's the main reason why I >asked here for a way to check if the script runs in sandbox mode.

You say you can not disable the antivirus. Why?

If it is because of that the option is blocked then you can try to run the computer on safe mode (with f8 key) and then try the script.

in safe mode the anti-virus is not running.

now, looking into the matter I have seen where is the problem.....
it is not the antivirus. The problem is that the sc program is localized and so the
StringRegExp($sResult, "(?mi)^(?:SERVICE_NAME|DISPLAY_NAME):h*(N+)", 3) returns an empty array
If I change the SERVICE_NAME|DISPLAY_NAME with my localized strings than it works.

Thanks for the information. Glad to hear you found the problem.

I want to understand - "localized strings" means in this case that the strings "SERVICE_NAME" and "DISPLAY_NAME" are called(written) in another language in your system?

I need to be sure i understood it correct.
