If my value is a string, and I want to make sure the String is equal to a number, is there a way to check to make sure the string is in fact a real number and not a value of a character?

I have an Array that I want to make sure if there is a number in one of the indexes to continue to search, yet when I use the IsNumber() it returns the number 1 as a string. How to make sure the value is a number and not a string?
