Is there a way to get the style of a set range on a Microsoft Word document?

If there is, then how?

should do what you want.

Sorry, I forgot to mentioned that these code lines:

$sStyle = $oRange.Find.Style
$sStyle = $oRange.Style

Just returned nothing..

In this case the Style property returns an object. Try this to get the style of the text you selected:
