i booted up my pc as normal then opened the .au3 project om working on this is all what i found is a file filled with black NUL

When your file contains NUL's then there isn't much you can do other than restore a previous version.

Change the .au3 to .exe and run the exe and see what happens

SciTE can do that. It's a glitch.

It will never happen if session is closed correctly before computer shutdown though. Comp had to be killed on button for this to happen.

if you have not used too much the disk after that issue, you could try to run this dos command:

CHKDSK C: /F/X  (assuming the file is on the disk c:)
