So a calltip definition would be like

DrawBox ( Left, Top, Width, Height, DrawOptions ) Draw a rectangle on the selected page.\n\t (may be required: #include "QuickPDF.au3")

and will popup a calltip when invoked as 3 lines.

So I misunderstood something?

I mean to SciTE4AutoIt have this feature enabled by default, ie once the installation version.

Scite4AutoIt3 uses Scite, perhaps modified a little but it is very much Scite. Set the property setting and create the calltip definition as I mentioned in the previous post and try it. I have not tested in latest Scite4AutoIt3, but an earlier version and it worked when I created the linked post. Only thing that could make it not work is if the Lua scripts disable it in the latest Scite4AutoIt3, otherwise I would expect it to work.

Just add this line to SciTEUser.properties:

calltip.*.use.escapes=1

And start adding escape characters to the API file for the UDF's you want show multiple lines.

4/05/2014: Uploaded a new SciTE4AutoIt3.exe installer with the new SciTE v3.4.1 release.

These are the major changes:

- Ended all support for Obfuscator and removed from the installation!

- Added Au3Stripper which replaces Obfuscators /StripOnly Function.

 

 

I have never found an explanation (in this thread I see nothing: ). It is very useful for me (and I will continue to use it - until it works - /cs, /cn (/cf, /cv)).

What you want, but as stated: Obfuscator does not serve any purpose any more and not all AutoIt3 changes made in the last releases is supported.

That needs updating and believe me, your source doesn't become any safer any more. 

It is also possible to de-obfuscate so all you really loose are the Func and Variable names.

Either way: Obfuscator support is gone and it will start messing things up in your sourcecode in case you use newer versions on AutoIt3 syntax.

But I'll think about it (old vs. new version AutoIt) -  I'll find out more about it...

When the rename of Func and Variables is enough for you then there is no reason not to upgrade as the new Au3Stripper does that with the /RM or /RenameMinimum.
