Hey water! Great UDF, only I can't even begin to understand it xD I tried to make a external include folder, but sod it that it's just complicated and doesn't work atm for me. Point is, that I have managed to make SciTe predict your UDF (when you type your code). But is there a sort of help section to all this as well? Like, is there content for which I can fill out the help file inside SchiTe (that you access upon pressing F1 when at a function)? Or.. well some documentation to read into without loosing my head all too completely. I ran "_OL_Wrapper_SendMail.au3", and it worked flawless.

What I want, if you even prefer that, is not hard. I simply wish to read my inbox (one of two e-mails I have in there) for mail with a headline of a special numerical character. Much like a API key. When it recognises something, the instructions are laid within the content of said mail. And upon completing said tasks, I want it back to sender with a response. Almost like a HTTP request but using emails! However as it stands, I can barely understand sending e-mail thanks to mentioned au3 file xD

Unfortunately there is no help file for this UDF. Only Scite integration is possible.

The docu is part of the UDF and can be found in the header lines for each function.

Point the cursor to the #include <OutlookEX.au3> statement and click Alt+i and the include will be opened. Then click Alt+q to run SciTE Jump and you will get a list of functions. Select the one you need and the function will get focus in SciTE.

To search for items in the inbox use functions _OL_FolderAccess and _OL_ItemFind. To send the mail use _OL_ItemCreate and _OL_ItemSend.

Every function comes with an example script file.

How do you get the true email address of a sender when the email is sent in house?

This works fine when I send an email to my work email from gmail:

$aSenderEmail = _OL_ItemGet($oOL_Item, $sOL_EntryId, Default, "SenderEmailAddress")

But when I get an email from someone else at work I get something like this:

/O=CORP/OU=EXCHANGE ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP...

What is the value of property SenderEmailType?

Looks like the FQDN of the internal user. I assume you do not run Microsofts Active Directory?

SenderEmailType put me on the right path in Google. This gets the right email address now.

Thanks for another great UDF. I have only found this recently and am having fun trying to get my head round it.

I have managed to create a script which creates and sends an email - It needs a little enhancement but it works fine the moment.

I also need to read a standard format email (from Microsoft Online Services) and extract a Username and Password which is added to the message I am creating (above).

Unfortunately I have not been able to find any example scripts which will help me sort this out. Would you be good enough to give me some pointers.

There 2 things that I can't seem to find, been searching these forums + thread, but couldn't find it: if I want to send an e-mail from a different e-mail account than the default account in Outlook, how can I do this? So for example, I have Water1@autoit.com and Water2@autoit.com configured in outlook, Water1 is my default account, but I want to send it from Water2, what is the best way to do this,

A second thing I did find, namely that an e-mail adress you want to put in the bcc field, appears in the "to" field in outlook. I've read that this is a bug, but is there a workaround to make it work anyway?

Glad you like the UDF

You are sending userids and passwords by mail? From a security view not a very good idea.

You either need to search for the mail item by subject, date etc. or wait for the event which is generated when a new mail arrives.
