How to get full path of a software *exe run in task manage.

If the process is not running, you can do this to recursively search a Drive:

Why complicate things with StdoutRead()? This can be all done in AutoIt.

Please give me a hand. I tried to use the new function but can't get the file path. I can't see what I'm doing wrong.

MsgBox(0,"", $pid); returns 448
$FilePath = _WinAPI_GetProcessFileName($pid)
MsgBox(0,"", $FilePath ); returns no string

Edit: And if I do the same for "explorer.exe", it will give the full path.

Try it with another program, the function works for most running processes, just not that one.

I did that. From 54 running processes it will manage 14 of them and misses 40.

Are you running with the right credentials and did you try #RequireAdmin?

Yes, I'm running it with right credentials. That is not the issue for sure.

Check to see which "User Name" is listed for the programs it didn't find the information for, they're probably not running under your user name.

Yes, that should be it. It will only find processes that are run under my user name. Those process that are run under "System" are not found.

From your question I understood running the script with elevated administrator privileges (#RequireAdmin) while I m logging in as administator. Did you mean something else?

BTW, #RequireAdmin still doesn't help get those programs that aren't run under the logged in user's name.

Using _ProcessListProperties() with the same settings returns the paths.
