These UDF are already quite useful, no need to apologize at all.

Changing to HANDLE did the trick, thanks a lot.

Does it support parsing INI files from strings instead of files?

For example:

$sString = "[test]" & @CRLF & "foo=bar"

MsgBox(0, Null, IniReadFromString($sString, "test", "foo", Null)) ; bar

Also, somehow it supports multiline strings? I've seen some implementations that allowed escaping new lines by backslashing it...
