User input file - Read the name of this file

Hi Everyone,

I use the below command to to select a *.EXE (e.g. Microsoft_SampleApp_1.0.EXE)

$EXEpath = FileOpenDialog('Please Choose any File', '', 'All(*.*)', 1)

after selecting Microsoft_SampleApp_1.0.EXE, how can i read the exact name of this file.

for e.g: i have to save the file name in $Name = "Microsoft_SampleApp_1.0"

PLease help.

If you want to get username together with extension, beside _PathSplit, you can also use this function

(not coded by me :P, I dont know the original author)

Func GetFileName($sFilePath)

    Local $aFolders = ""
    Local $FileName = ""
    Local $iArrayFoldersSize = 0

    If (Not IsString($sFilePath)) Then
        Return SetError(1, 0, -1)
    EndIf

    $aFolders = StringSplit($sFilePath, "\")
    $iArrayFoldersSize = UBound($aFolders)
    $FileName = $aFolders[($iArrayFoldersSize - 1)]

    Return $FileName
