Run Command generates things (Bug)

When I use the command

Run ( "C:\Program Files (x86)\AssistUO\AssistUO.exe" )

If the Autoit file that I double click to run is on my desktop it will generate all new files like it would If I had never ran the program before on my desktop giving me errors and other funky things...

If I put the AutoIt file inside the same folder as where the Run Directory is it will do fine and loads fine because it uses the old files that it needs to use and such...

I am wondering how i can leave my AutoIt file on my desktop but where it will generate the files and use the files where the path is set rather then trying to sit there and regenerate everything.

I hope somebody understands and I thank you for your time

Use

@ProgramFilesDir instead.

@ProgramFilesDir & "AssistUOAssistUO.exe"

Set the workdir parameter in the Run() statement to the location the files are located.

xG00BERx,

That description of your problem is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. In fact as you could eat a chocolate foreguard - less use. :D

You say if you place the script in the Run directory (whatever that means) it works - have you tried setting the workingdir parameter to that path so that the script knows where to look if it is not actually within it? :huh:

What I mean by placing it in tht Directory si actually placing the file with all this code inside of it in that directory physically going to the Program files assistUo and so forth.... Thats when it works if I keep it on my desktop it will get messed up.

xG00BERx,

Which is what I imagined you probably meant. ;)

So have you tried what Jos and I suggested and set the workingdir parameter? :huh:
