Guest
hello, this tool will create for your function the local variables in one click! image and exmple of use: Please note: Use this tool only if you know what you are doing! this tool can insert also global variables in the local line because the tool does not know what is the global variables outside the function(at this time). so after you get the local line from the tool, check the variables and delete variables that you know they are global ! Download + Source Code: New: Local variables generator - v3.rar Changes: * if there are more than 8 Local variables, then it will create new line. each line contains up to 8 variables. (in the example image i deleted a few variables. That's why there are no 8 variables line 2) * the algorithm will Ignore variables that written after ";". - for example: ;$test = 1 in this case the variable $test will not add to the local line. * other bug fix Previous versions: Local variables generator - v2.rar Changes: * Variables after "For" - for example: for $a = 1 to 100 $a will not add to the Local variables. (thanks to Melba23) * Other small fix in the algorithm. Local variables generator.rar Hope you like it! Edited November 6, 2013 by Guest

Guest
Does your code detect existing global variables used in a function? No. I was not thought about it when I wrote it.I thought about it later. It is a good idea but i still do not know how much work it requires to add this detection Edited November 5, 2013 by Guest

guinness
Well I do this in SciTE Jump by parsing the script (+ includes) of what Global variables are used and then working from there. It's the part when I create a text file of functions used etc... Also about your idea, it's good, but by coding standards variables should be declared in their lowest scope. So declaring all variables at the start of the function is considered bad. ; Bad. Func Example() Local $iVar = 0, $sSomeVar = '', $vVar = -1 ... Do $iVar += 1 Until $iVar = 10 ; This will return False as $iVar will be positive and thus declaring $sSomeVar or $vVar was a bad choice. If $iVar Then Return False ... $vVar = 99 $sSomeVar= Chr(Random(65, 127, 1)) EndFunc ; Good. Func Example() Local $iVar = 0 ... It's the part when I create a text file of functions used etc... i need to fill array $aIgnore with all of these Global variables. this way the the algorithm will know to ignore from them.. it may be too much work so i don't going to do this unless you have a function to do this fast.. AZJIO
gil900 I too did a similar script (>list_var_funk.au3). If to remove global, probably mistake. Quite probably that the name coincides with a global variable, but it is a local variable My other projects or all
