MadaraUchiha Posted November 2, 2013 Share Posted November 2, 2013 Yo guyz, I have a ComboBox on my Form with some Items in it. Now, how can I add values to the items index? So if i select questionicon, and hit a button it displays the value I like to add to the selected ComboBox Item? So I want to set: No Icon: 0 Error Icon 23434 Question Icon 283 Warning icon: 9876 Information Icon: 4567 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gruntydatsun Posted November 3, 2013 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Use _GUICtrlComboBox_AddString example: #include <GuiComboBox.au3> #include <ComboConstants.au3> #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1) $Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 322, 196, 192, 124) GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "Form1Close") $Combo1 = GUICtrlCreateCombo("Combo1", 32, 24, 225, 25, BitOR($CBS_DROPDOWN,$CBS_AUTOHSCROLL)) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) While 1 Sleep(100) for $x = 0 to 10 _GUICtrlComboBox_AddString($Combo1,"Extra Line Item# " & $x) msgbox(1,"ADDED ITEM","Added Item# " & $x) Next WEnd Func Form1Close() Exit EndFunc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MadaraUchiha Posted November 3, 2013 Author Share Posted November 3, 2013 ... uh thats not what I was searching for. Thats just how to add Strings to a ComboBox... What I was looking for, is: Giving every Item in my ComboBox a Specific Value. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Moderators Melba23 Posted November 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted November 3, 2013 MadaraUchiha,Use a 2D array to hold the items and their associated values. Then when you read the combo selection it is easy to relate it to the relevant value. gruntydatsun Posted November 3, 2013 Share Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) or write a getter $iconValue = getIconValue(GuiCtrlRead($comboName)) Func getIconValue($string) Switch $string Case "No Icon" Return 0 Case "Error Icon" Return 23434 Case "Question Icon" Return 283 Case "Warning Icon" Return 9876 Case "Information Icon" Return 4567 EndSwitch EndFunc Edited November 3, 2013 by gruntydatsun MadaraUchiha 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
