LiquidNitrogen Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I've tried to figure this out. How do u sync a progress bar with the progress of a file that's being copied or something. Like a loading bar for a game maybe? If u get what I mean. Formerly ReaperX
Solution BrewManNH Posted October 30, 2013 Solution Posted October 30, 2013 If it's a single file, you can't use FileCopy and get progress information from it because FileCopy is a blocking function. There's a UDF in example scripts called Large File Copy or something like that, that will take the file and copy it in chunks. If you know how many chunks it is going to take to copy the whole file, then you can figure out the percentage that's been copied already. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. LiquidNitrogen Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 I know I can't use FileCopy because that just copies a file. That was just an example for you to understand what I was saying. But I'll look at that udf. Formerly ReaperX
BrewManNH Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 If you're not planning on copying a file, then explain what you need the progress bar to monitor and perhaps someone can come up with a method to get it to update.
