FireFox
And also have a look at the GUICtrlRead function, I guess that $label1 is a label control.
PhoenixXL
After reading the link FireFox posted you would surely know that NOT has highest preference. Therefore parenthesis should be used to signify what operation has to be done first Example $label1 = "FHF4H-HJJGM-MFPB4-XDXH2-4JFD" If Not ($label1 = "FHF4H-HJJGM-MFPB4-XDXH2-4JFDY") Then ConsoleWrite("Error" & @CRLF) EndIf Surely as Firefox as stated you can't equate the controlID of a control to its value stored to get the value of the control using the controlID use the GUICtrlRead function. $label1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("My Label", 0, 0) ;here in the above $label1 stores the controlID of the control whereas ;GUICtrlRead($label1) would return the value "My Label" As specific use the help-file available and the examples from the forum to learn more. You can learn the best by debugging your own code. Regards Edited September 24, 2013 by PhoenixXL My code: PredictText: Predict Text of an Edit Control Like Scite. Moderators Melba23 Posted September 23, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) Gawish,So you need to learn a bit about AutoIt syntax for yourself rather then expect us to explain everything for you. Go and read the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) as this will help you enormously. You should also look at this excellent tutorial - you will find other tutorials in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page).
