AutoIt:
- Changed: Default newline character for PCRE regexes changed from LF to CRLF.
- Changed: PCRE_UCP option is no longer used by default in regexes.

UDFs:
- Changed: _EventLog__ @error values in the respective documentation.

AutoItX:
- Added: AutoItX3_PS.dll - A PowerShell Cmdlet wrapper for AutoItX.
- Added: Visual Studio 2010 C++ Project files (easy to use in 2010 or later).
- Changed: Renamed AutoIt3.h to AutoItX3_DLL.h.
- Removed: Removed DevC files and Visual Studio 6 files.
- Removed: ANSI versions of Send/WinWait functions from the native DLL.
- Fixed: AutoItX3.lib files weren't correctly being copied to the install file.

Others:
- Added: Direct links to functions, keywords and macros in the help file.

- Changed: Merged both the AutoIt and UDF help files into a single chm file.



I'll create some topics in the AutoItX forum for the DLL stuff. It's only got a few functions enabled as a preview.

I like to thank you for the idea and sharing the code for the linking to other helpfile pages in Examples code.

We have used your code and merged that into one UDF and changed it so it would work on the current single new Helpfile.

way to change PCRE_UCP option "(*UCP)" still not mentioned on StringRegExp help page (while actually work)

only mention is in History:

Added: Regular expressions (PCRE engine) now using the new native 16bit mode and also compiled with full UCP support. Prefix patterns with (*UCP) to enable.

This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). An absolute must have in your bookmarks.
Another excellent RegExp tutorial. Don't forget downloading your copy of up-to-date pcretest.exe and pcregrep.exe here
RegExp tutorial: enough to get started
PCRE v8.33 regexp documentation latest available release and currently implemented in AutoIt beta.

SQLitespeed is another feature-rich premier SQLite manager (includes import/export). Well worth a try.
SQLite Expert (freeware Personal Edition or payware Pro version) is a very useful SQLite database manager.
An excellent eBook covering almost every aspect of SQLite3: a must-read for anyone doing serious work.
SQL tutorial (covers "generic" SQL, but most of it applies to SQLite as well)
A work-in-progress SQLite3 tutorial. Don't miss other LxyzTHW pages!
SQLite official website with full documentation (may be newer than the SQLite library that comes standard with AutoIt)

Me? Certainly not. But you did: the zip file doesn't seem to contain much of my chicken, so the only explanations are either you ate it or burnt it to ashes...

I think I may have found a bug in beta, unfortunately I cannot reproduce it outside of my script real which is about 10.000 lines plus includes.

So I'll describe it the best I can in the hope a Dev will know where to look.

My main.au3 is structured like this

#include "Globals.au3"  ;about 20 0r so global variables
#include "Includes.au3" ;around 40/50 files some of open dll files for global use and read settings from ini files etc...

When I compiled this in beta mode (Compile beta) the control.txt is never created and therefore not written to throughout script, which runs seeming;y perfectly.

Note: that I expect either 1 or two message boxes, and if two, the script should exit. They never appear and the script does not exit.

Normal compile and control.txt is created and written to.

Yes the above works for me too.

That is just to show how the code is structured, My script proper however, displays the problem outlined.

It's as though it totally ignores the section of script where the message boxes and file creation are.

Which is right at the top of my main code and should be the entry point if that is the correct term in scripting language.

Have you added some errorchecking to the original script to see if the file is actually created at that point? Perhaps you delete the file elsewhere in the script and that is why you cannot write to it. :huh:

Yes, the file is never deleted.

But the MsgBox() and Exit should assure that anyway, They are not actioned on, or skipped completely.

The only thing I change is Toolscompile to ToolsBeta Compile.

You know how a script is all put into one file from it's includes (you can see it with /striponly obfuscator param) well if those separate includes have global vars in or code outside of functions, they are inserted into the stripped file at the position sort of above the included files first function.

It's as though the beginning of the script is lower down the ladder, although, the main loop begins right after the exit in above code and does it's job.

It's quite odd.

I think I may have found a bug in beta, unfortunately I cannot reproduce it outside of my script real which is about 10.000 lines plus includes.

And I completely glossed over this.

Might just have to post your whole script if you don't mind.

The likelyhood that my script will run on someone else's machine is close to impossible. It relies on many other compiled custom scripts and registered websites etc...

I'd neither want or expect anyone to trawl through such an amount of my code.

I'm still working to try and narrow down the problem, in order to reproduce it more effectively.
