StringRegExpReplace syntax:

StringRegExpReplace ( "test", "pattern", "replace", [count] )
should be

StringRegExpReplace ( "test", "pattern", "replace" [, count] )

Return values of SetError() and SetExtended() should be docummented as undefined for cases when return value parameter is omitted. That's the whole thing and probably it's the most correct. Documenti

I Check History in Beta

  • Added: Array access on expression: StringSplit("a,b", ",")[1]
  • Added: Dot access on expression: ObjCreate("Shell.Application").GetSystemInformation("DirectoryServiceAvailable") 
  • Added: Built-in functions that take a callback now be passed directly in addition to the old method of passing as a string. Built-in functions can also be passed now (be careful that the function you pass matches what the caller expects).
  • Added: Expression as default function parameter.
  • Added: With...EndWith can be used on expressions having dot-access.
  • Added: Nested "With...EndWith". 
Whether the documentation is prepared for an example or a description for this new functionality ?.

Sorry for my mistake. I've updated my Help File.

Use the beta along side the stable. Overwriting the stable help file with the beta could land you in trouble e.g. features missing.

These constant names are from Microsoft. The dollar sign is added to comply with the current AutoIt syntax. I do not believe this is a mistake, but I also haven't checked the description.

We must stick to one style. For the beginner this confusion.

Why extended styles table on the GUICreate page is necessary? Either you need to do two table - the usual style and extended style, or leave only references to tables. GUICreate

I'm not sure what is causing it, but when you use the search tab in the help file you sometimes get multiple hits pointing to the same topic.

For example, if I search for FileOpen I get 2 hits for the function _GUICtrlRichEdit_CanUndo, one says the location is in the Autoit Help file section the other location says AutoIt UDFs Help File. If you click on either topic it takes you to the same place in the help file. Seems like there's a problem in the table of contents in the main Help file listing UDFs in there as well as in the UDFs help file.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I don't get that  in v3.3.9.16.

Just noticed that I was using the 3.3.9.12 help file when that happened. I have way too many beta versions scattered around. :)

But, something to watch for, if it happened once it might happen again. ;)
