As indicated my displayed with _ArrayDisplay()  are not stable and go blank after a time.

The help file is an example of this happening.  I have not seen any one else having this problem.

Is it my system or what?  win7 64  au3 3.3.6.1  SciTE 2.2.8.0

Try upgrading Autoit to the latest release, although no one else is reporting this so it may be related to your system.  Moving to the current release is a first step.

@ Guinness  The help file example is an example that shows my problem on my machine.

I will try klymas's suggestion then get back.

If I try the beta will I still be able to use the Autoit current release?  I always wondered about that but never investigated?

I ran the Help file code with NO problems last night. 

After you upgrade to the current release make sure that you are not running any other automation that may be issueing windows commands before you test again.

You can install the beta along side the stable. Use SciTE4AutoIt3 to toggle between both.

Help file example is working for me.

Hi,

In the 5 years or so I have been using AutoIt I have never seen the _ArrayDisplay appear blank - and believe me I use it a lot when debugging. :)

The UDF just creates a standard AutoIt GUI with a ListView control - nothing more. Do you guys having problems also have the occasional AutoIt GUI that does not display correctly? If so that might indicate that the problem is with your machines rather than with AutoIt. If you create a GUI with a ListView (such as the example for GUICtrlCreateListView) does that suffer the same problme? :huh:

GUICtrlCreateListView) does not have any problem. it is rock solid.

_ArrayDisplay() does not start out blank.  It displays just fine for about 9-10 seconds and then goes blank.

I have compiled the _ArrayDisplay() and it does the same thing on my computer (Gateway NV53)

I then tried it on my wife's computer Win7 32  and it worked fine. Rock solid.

Melba23  when I run the 4 examples of your GUIListViewEx Both sides display for 2 -5 seconds.

The left side then goes blank but the right side is rock solid.

No everything else runs just fine.  I have had this problem with 2 computers.

I have also used _arraydisplay() a lot for debugging and just fiddled with the display like DanP2 describes.

I was thinking of using _arraydisplay as a main display for keeping score of a card game.  Maybe I will just

try ListView if I we can't solve this problem.

If you have _ArrayDisplay in a WM_MESSAGE function, then it will display a blank UI and probably crash your application.

Yes, I see this same behavior when running the GUICtrlCreateListView example.

Seems like an environmental issue for sure.  Do other applications have redraw issues like this on that machine?

 

Definitely could be environmental (video driver?). No, I haven't noticed this issue other than in AutoIt.

I've been affected by this irritating issue for a very long time (years). I suspect it was due to Logitech mouse or Gxx keyboard driver or add-on but in all case it has little to do with AutoIt as at least one other application (not build with AutoIt) had a similar issue.

Chase drivers until you find the culprit is the best advice I can give you.

SQLitespeed is another feature-rich premier SQLite manager (includes import/export). Well worth a try.
SQLite Expert (freeware Personal Edition or payware Pro version) is a very useful SQLite database manager.
An excellent eBook covering almost every aspect of SQLite3: a must-read for anyone doing serious work.

After DanP2's last post and GUICtrlCreateListView) also does not work.

I swear it worked for 5 minutes and was good before.

It was the Logitech mouse and keyboard settings program.

Exited the program and everything I had tried previously worked perfect not just once but several times.

Restarted the program and the problem was back.
