andr3w
Ok Im new to AutoIT and trying to get it to write to an SQLite DB. Evereything was going fantastic until I attempted to write a variable value to a field rather then hardset value; $name = "Whatever" _SQLite_Exec($hDskDb,"INSERT INTO Packages (Packagename) VALUES ($name)") When I issue the following command it always writes $name to the field rather then the variable value of "Whatever", I have tried mutiple different ways of structuring the command to get it to write the variable value rather then $name but had no luck Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
Solution jchd Posted July 13, 2013 Solution Share Posted July 13, 2013 No automatic variable interpolation in AutoIt or rather I don't recommend it. Try this: $name = "Whatever" _SQLite_Exec($hDskDb,"INSERT INTO Packages (Packagename) VALUES (" & _SQLite_FastEscape($name) & ")") 0xdefea7 1 This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available).
