Isn't it possible to also update the AutoIt Script Signature and Compression/Encryption algorithm ?

What do you exactly mean?

Compiled scripts have no Signature and that requires a valid certificate.

Not sure what you mean with Compression/Encryption other than these 2 options:

Compression 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 #pragma compile(Compression, 3)

UPX true, false  #pragma compile(UPX, false)

Hmm, it hadn't been typed into the changelog, but there were some significant changes to Aut2Exe/compiling as well.

 

This is a good news for people with security "problems", for those who have read my last thread knows what I mean.

For how long? I hope forever but is a vain hope (maybe change the compiling method every new release can help, or a little proposal, if possible, to develop a custom compiler we can use for make unique .exe every time)

Looking at the 3.3.9.6 helpfile, isn't it confusing that we have 3 different mouse over effects when you mouse over a link?

 

Related (pages) - hand/clicking cursor, changes color, underline text

Copy to clipboard - hand/clicking cursor, changes color

Open this Script - (nothing, no hint at all that it is a link, other than being non-black)

That's because all three are using different methods to display these links. I had a quick search and it seems impossible to change the cursor of "Open Script" to a hover hand.

As for the Copy to clipboard, I fixed the underline issue.

Not sure what you mean with Compression/Encryption other than these 2 options:

Signature means the hard coded signature of the embedded script in compiled exe and Compression/Encryption means the encoding algorithm of embedded script. The new method of storing script in exe will help to increase the security of the script but it can be compromised.

Password protect against decompiler would be practical if you do not know the password decompiler does not work with it.
And just a thought there may be other more practical ways to prevent decompiler.

Just as with the "ternary" discussion yesterday, can we please stop discussion of various desired future implementation details in this thread. It should be limited to comment on the Beta release, not general chat about how you might like AutoIt to be in the future. ;)

I dunno if this is a bug? Or because it uses a basic algorithm.

Confirmed ..  will check what is happening

Both /console and /Gui parameters are now missing while still in the Available Help page shown.

This is fixed in the latest beta.

It doesn't work in 3.3.8.1 either (after copying winapiconstants.au3 to the include folder).

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
