Text Selection Color Change

leegold,

If you have the full SciTE4AutoIt3 version (and if not why not?) then you can use SciTEConfig to do this - you find it under the <Tools> menu as long as you have an au3 file open. This version of SciTE is specially designed for AutoIt and has lots of utilities to help you - including an automatic syntax checker;, managers for SciTE itself, abbreviations and call tips; and a whole lot more. You can download it from here. :)

If you do not have the full version and decide not to install it (which would be a pity), you can still change the colours by adding these lines to your UserProperties file - open it via the <Options> menu and add these lines:

selection.fore=#006000
selection.alpha=50
selection.back=#EA7783
Obviusly you can adjust the colours and alpha to suit your preferences. ;)

But I strongly recommend that you download and install the full SciTE4AutoIt package - it is definitely worth the trouble. :thumbsup:

Yes, I have the enhanced newer version but when I check the "about" it says 3.3.0.  In any case I see the setting - don't know how I missed it - and tweaked it. Thank you.

I searched for SciTE.exe and found only one occurence after reinstall of the latest enhanced version, again says 3.3.0. Wonderful editor - just enough of an IDE while not getting over burdened with bells and whistles  - excellent!

James,

Later on in the day that might have been true - but not just after midday. ;)

It was just my aging dyslexic fingers playing up even more than usual - and then my pressing the wrong button too soon! :D

What is "my" doing in the middle of your sentence?

DatMCEyeBall,

In "real" English - as opposed to those appalling bastardised dialects spoken in our old colonies (including yours) - the "my" in that phrase (not sentence) refers to the person carrying out the defined action. An example to clarify: ;)

"DatMCEyBall is a wannabee grammar Nazi - and his continued posting about the written English of others is becoming annoying"

Clear now? :)
