So if any real code in script (not a comment) is less than 4000 characters

then I can guess that: obfuscated script be working correct ?

Obfuscator can not handle any record longer than 4100 characters as input, irrelevant what is in it.

When you want to obfuscate the input, there is a record limit of 2047 since the produced output record will be longer after obfuscation.

Maybe you could try to explain what you mean because I do not see any real answer to my question.

Is it "slow" when doing the actual Obfuscation or do you mean that Obfuscated source code runs slow?

Waiting for what? There is nothing new in it other than it doesn't hardcrash and tells you it will not be able to continue.

I am planning to do a rewrite of the stripping functionality in Obfuscator, using both code from Tidy (support code with and records length limitations) and Obfuscator's logic for stripping Funcs and Global Vars. This will be a new program when finished, but there is no timeline as yet.

 

I be waitng and be patient.

Belini,

My experience with Obfuscator has been overwhelmingly positive - and if I use the /OM parameter there is actually a noticeable improvement in execution speed due to using the shorter variable/function names. So I suggest you do as Jos suggested and show some code which "slows" when obfuscated.

TL;DR - Put up or shut up.

I've never had a script run slower after passing it through Obfuscator. I've had them run up to 20% quicker when I have used Obfuscator with the /OM directive.

Normally when you make an accusation you normally provide proof, otherwise you're making a false a claim and it could have an adverse affect on how people see Obfuscator. Thank goodness Jos has a positive reputation!
