Changing variable wrapped in a string

There are 3 easy ways to interpolate AutoIt variables or stuff their content in the middle of a string:

simple concatenation just like in the above answers: 'speed is ' & $speed & ' mph'

StringFormat()

AutoItSetOption(ExpandVarStrings, 1)

According to the help file it is legitimate to use "For / In / Next" to process arrays. Only limitation is that you just have read access to the array.

As most tend not to read the fine print in the help file, it's best we steer users in the direction of using For To for AutoIt based arrays.

Did I actually misunderstand the help file? Surely _ArrayDisplay should show the items initially set.

I don't think so, without knowing how this syntax works in AutoIt, the var i displays the content of the array.

Local $aArray[4] = [0, 1, 2, 3]

For $i In $aArray
ConsoleWrite($i & @CrLf)
$aArray[$i] = 100 ;writes to index $i
ConsoleWrite($aArray[$i] & @CRLF)
Next

I'm dumb. The syntax was wrong and it worked because the items started from 0.

Why? Both work so I think the user can chose whatever he likes to use.

I look at non-object For..In as a handy syntax when a 1D array is truly 0-based (e.g. no count at [0]) and processed as const in that loop.

Granted, it's just synctatic sugar but since it's born I see no reason to leave this guy alone in the dark.
